FAQs
What to expect:
Massage and facial sessions:
If this is your first session, you will need to complete a Medical and Health Form before the treatment. Please allow an extra 15 minutes to accommodate this. I will discuss your needs and goals for the session with you and then leave you to undress.
For massage therapy, you will need to remove all clothing with the exception of underwear, which you can choose to leave on. For facials, I recommend you remove clothing on the top half of your body (you are welcome to leave on a bra if you wish) as this allows you to easily receive neck and shoulder massage without getting oil or cream on your clothes. You will be comfortably covered with sheets throughout the session, only exposing the area of your body being worked on.
For pregnancy massages, I provide a set of high quality bolsters that allow for bespoke body positioning to help you feel as comfortable as possible in all positions. It is the only set-up I have found to be truly comfortable and supportive when lying face down during every trimester of pregnancy.
Sessions are designed to give you the highest level of comfort: organic flannel sheets, a heated table pad in the cooler months, and padded headrest covers.
I encourage you to be honest and vocalize if at any point during the massage you feel uncomfortable in any way; if you need an adjustment in regards to pressure, room temperature, or body positioning.
At the end of the session, I will leave the room for you to get dressed. You will be offered a signature tea: ginger root, fresh lemon juice, and raw honey as a natural detox to complete your treatment.
Light therapy sessions:
If this is your first session, you will need to complete a Medical and Health Form before the treatment. Please allow an extra 15 minutes to accommodate this. I will discuss your needs and goals for the session with you and then leave you to undress (if needed).
Light therapy is most effective when applied directly on top of/very close to the skin. Therefore, if you are receiving light therapy to reduce pain/discomfort, I will ask you to undress to allow for the device to sit comfortably across your body in the area where treatment is needed. The sheets can then be placed back on top to allow full comfort.
Stand-alone sessions run for 30 minutes. I will leave the room to allow you to fully relax, checking in part way through to ensure you are comfortable.
For light therapy sessions on the face and neck, special eye glasses will be provided. You do not have to wear these - it is absolutely ok to just close your eyes. However, many people prefer the glasses to reduce the brightness from the lights. Please note that make up will be gently removed before the treatment begins, as this allows the light to effectively work on the skin. Should you wish to reapply post treatment, please bring supplies with you.
You may experience a slight feeling of warmth during a light therapy session on the area being treated, but it should not be uncomfortable in any way.
Core Restore + Yoga
Core Restore classes are offered at beginner and intermediate levels, and I strongly encourage you to take at least one beginner class. If you are very newly postpartum or recovering from an injury I recommend a one-to-one session prior to joining a group class.
Yoga classes are all level and are open to everyone from beginners to experienced practitioners. If you are an absolute beginner, you may feel more comfortable taking a one-to-one session with me to get an understanding of the basic poses, however, this is not essential and you will find classes to be super welcoming with many versions of each pose offered throughout. I encourage everyone to listen to what their body needs that day, even if you have been practicing yoga for a long time.
Please wear something comfortable that you can move freely and work out in - leggings, cycling shorts, tank tops, sports tops etc. All props are provided. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you have one you like. Otherwise, please just bring yourself and some water!
I encourage everyone to ask questions during classes, so if you are unsure of anything please feel welcome to ask - there are usually many others thinking the same thing. I offer hands-on assists, meaning that I will come around and offer adjustments to help you get the most out of your session. If you do not feel comfortable receiving this, that is absolutely ok, just let me know at any time during class.
Products
Our massage products are provided by Vital Body Therapeutics. Creams and oils contain organic hemp CBD and Arnica, alongside essential oils to provide the best in pain relief and relaxation. Most brands of CBD products still contain low levels or traces of THC, however, Vital Body Therapeutics provide third party lab testing to ensure that their products are completely THC free.
Facial sessions also include products from My Zen Skin Care, a holistic skincare company who use only natural and organic ingredients.
Both companies work with small batches only and take great care in ensuring that only high quality, natural ingredients are used in their products.
Should you have any allergies, please let me know on the medical and health form prior to your session.
Cancellations and late arrivals
All appointments require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full rate. Please try to give as much warning as possible should you need to cancel your appointment so that another client on the waiting list can be given a space.
Please be on time for your appointment. Should you arrive late, you will be given the remaining appointment time and will be charged at the full rate. If you are running late, please give notice; if you have not arrived 15 minutes past your scheduled time and have not given notice of your late arrival it will be presumed that you are not attending.
Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early for your appointment.
If Little Seed Holistic has to cancel your appointment (for example, due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen event), then every effort will be made to reschedule your appointment wherever possible.
Parking
Parking can be found on the street or in the private car park at the rear of the building, off Memorial Ave. There are limited spaces in the car park so please park respectfully and try to allow space for other vehicles.
Payment
Payment is due at the end of your session. Venmo, check, and cash are accepted. If you choose to pay by venmo please remember to send your payment the same day as your session.
